Vietnam has been nominated in numerous categories for World Travel Awards 2024

HNN.VN - Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) on May 11 announced that the 31st World Travel Awards for Asia and Oceania has been now open for voting at www.worldtravelawards.com. The voting period will close on July 23, 2024.

At this year's awards, at the national level, Vietnam has been honored with nominations in several prestigious categories. These categories include: Asia's Leading Beach Destination 2024; Asia's Leading Culture Destination 2024; Asia's Leading Destination 2024; Asia's Leading Heritage Destination 2024; Asia's Leading Natural Destination 2024; and Asia's Leading Youth Travel Destination 2024.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has been nominated for the Asia's Leading Tourism Board 2024 category.

Many of our country's tourism attractions have also been nominated in various categories. Among them, the Departments of Tourism of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City make them to the list of nominees for the Asia's Leading City Tourist Board 2024. Quang Nam province’s Department of Tourism has been nominated for the Asia's Leading Regional City Tourist Board 2024 award.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City has been nominated for the Asia's Leading Business Travel Destination 2024. Hanoi has been nominated in two categories of the Leading City Break Destination 2024 and the Asia's Leading City Destination 2024.

Hoi An and Hue have both been nominated for the Asia's Leading Culture City Destination 2024. The two localities of Ha Giang and Ha Nam have been nominated for the Asia's Leading Emerging Tourism Destination 2024. Ha Nam has also been nominated for the Asia's Leading Regional Cultural Destination 2024.

Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City have both been nominated for the Asia's Festival and Event Destination 2024.

Phu Quoc has been nominated for the Asia's Leading Luxury Island Destination. Moc Chau has been nominated for the Asia's Leading Regional Natural Destination 2024.

In addition, Vietnam's tourism industry has also received many other nominations in the fields of aviation, hotels, travel, and top scenic spots in Asia.

To vote for Vietnam tourism, should the public visit the website https://www.worldtravelawards.com; select "Sign up" to create a voting account; confirm the account via email. Then, selecting "Login" to access, select nominations of Vietnam tourism and vote. Each account can only vote once for each award category.

The attention and votes of the community will contribute to honoring Vietnam tourism, promoting the image of the country and people, who are friendly and hospitable, always welcoming visitors to the destinations being rich in national identity, converging cultural quintessence, modern development, quality services, and an ideal safe environment.

The World Travel Awards (WTA), was established in 1993, is considered the "Oscar" of the tourism industry. Being held annually, the awards recognize outstanding destinations and quality tourism service providers across various fields such as aviation, hotels, resorts, travel agencies, and tourist destinations, etc.

In 2023, Vietnam tourism was honoured in 45 top categories in Asia. At the national level, Vietnam was awarded the "Asia's Leading Destination 2023" and "Asia's Leading Nature Destination 2023". This marks the fifth time Vietnam has been voted the "Asia's Leading Destination", including three consecutive wins (in the years of 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023) and second consecutive wins for the "Asia's Leading Nature Destination" (in 2022 and 2023), affirming the country's brand and the special attraction of Vietnamese tourism.
