This month-long festival was primarily expected to take place in the second half of July 2021, yet its postponement is inevitable amid the complicated situation of COVID-19 pandemic across the country and new infected cases confirmed in the province after more than 50 days case-free.

Therefore, the City People's Committee and the Organizing Committee of Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2021 decided to postpone the event one more time to devote all available resources to the province and nation’s efforts in containing the pandemic.
