Hue forecasts strong tourist surge for the September 2nd holiday
HNN.VN - On the afternoon of August 22nd, information from the Department of Tourism indicated that the number of visitors to Hue during this year’s September 2nd holiday (National Day) is forecast to increase sharply, with an estimated 196,000 arrivals.

Specifically, according to data from survey and statistical channels of the Department of Tourism, the total number of visitors to Hue City is expected to reach about 196.000 (an increase of nearly 51% compared to the same period in 2024). Revenue from tourism services is estimated at 310 billion VND (an increase of nearly 135% year-on-year).
The number of visitors staying overnight during this year’s holiday is projected at about 92.000 (up 41.5% compared to the September 2nd holiday in 2024), including approximately 23.000 international visitors (an increase of nearly 44%).
The average hotel occupancy rate is expected to reach around 72%. On August 31st, September 1st, and September 2nd, occupancy at many accommodation facilities is expected to exceed 85%. Most hotels in downtown Hue City, beach and lagoon resorts, waterfall retreats, and homestays within the city are nearly fully booked for these three days.
According to leaders of the Department of Tourism, to proactively welcome visitors, the tourism sector and businesses have surveyed, developed, and completed new tourism products. Accommodation facilities in Hue City have also promptly finalized service plans, including stocking essential supplies, arranging extra staff shifts, upgrading facilities, and offering promotional services and gifts to create a positive experience for visitors.
The tourism sector will also strengthen inspection and supervision of service activities at accommodation facilities and tourist attractions throughout the city, ensuring a safe, high-quality, and friendly tourism environment. A 24/7 hotline will be staffed to promptly receive and address complaints, safeguarding the interests of both visitors and businesses.
