Free entrance to heritage sites for Vietnamese citizens on November 23

HNN.VN - On the occasion of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23), Hue Monuments of Conservation Center will offer free entrance to the heritage sites under the Hue Complex of Monuments to all Vietnamese citizens.

 Tourists visiting Hue Imperial Citadel

Accordingly, from 7:00 to 17:30 on November 23, the citizens will receive ticket exemption to Hue Imperial Citadel, Tu Duc Mausoleum, Khai Dinh Mausoleum, Minh Mang Mausoleum, Hon Chen Palace, An Dinh Palace, and Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, etc. Visitors only need to present their ID card at the entrance.

This activity is held to encourage the community to study and experience the historical - cultural values of Hue Ancient Capital, as well as to offer more destination options for locals and tourists during this special occasion of the heritage sector.

Also on this occasion, Vietnamese citizens to Hue shouldn’t forget to visit the space of Secret Council (the Three Offices), located at No. 33 Tong Duy Tan (Phu Xuan Ward). From November 21 to 27, this venue will host 3 exhibitions, including the documentary photo exhibition titled “The Nguyen Dynasty’s Secret Council (1834 - 1945): A Journey Through Space and Dynastic Impressions”; the exhibition “Donated Artifacts” with over 50 special artifacts among nearly 500 antiquities donated to the museum system from 1995 up to now; and the art exhibition “Hue Features 3”, showcasing the paintings that portray cultural beauty of Vietnamese locals.

It’s known that from January 1, 2025, according to the new regulation of Hue City People’s Committee, Vietnamese citizens will receive free entrance tickets to the heritage sites on 4 main holidays, including the first day of the Lunar New Year, the Liberation Day of Hue (March 26), National Day (September 2), and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23). This year is also the first time that Hue City applied free ticket exemption on August 19, commemorating the August Revolution.
