Responding to the “Ao Dai Week”, women across A Luoi have been donning their traditional ao dai, shining in costumes made from Zeng fabric. The fusion of ao dai Vietnam with the intricate patterns of A Luoi Zeng fabric creates a look that is both graceful and deeply rich heritage value.

Zeng weaving is a traditional craft that has existed for generations among the ethnic groups in the Western part of Hue City, and is a part of the unique traditional culture of the people there... As life depends on the mountains and forests and is close to nature, each Zeng product is not only a daily item and a spiritual item, but also a work of arts in the spiritual life of the people.

When mentioning the artisan Mai Thi Hop (born in 1963, of the Ta Oi ethnic group, from Lam Dot commune, A Luoi district), people often known her as the person who preserves and upholds the cultural identity of her ethnic group through 'Zeng.' Her entire life has been closely associated with interesting stories revolving around this unique handicraft product...

Over 150 sketch works capturing the beauty of A Luoi region through the perspectives of both professional and amateur artists were recently showcased and introduced to the public on the afternoon of July 10th at Diem Phung Thi Art Center (Hue Museum of Fine Arts, 17 Le Loi, Hue City).
