In the recent top 10 list of affordable and ideal relaxing destinations for Singaporean tourists in 2025, released by UK-based Time Out magazine, Vietnam is represented by two cities: Hue and Da Nang.

Decision No. 3979/QD-BVHTTDL dated December 10, 2024 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recognized the “Van Cu noodle-making craft” being in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List under the Traditional Handicraft category. This serves as a foundation for building an intangible cultural heritage profile with a national and international vision for Bun Hue (Hue noodles) culinary heritage in the coming time.

TasteAtlas, a food magazine, has just set the list of 50 most worth-experienced culinary cities all over the world in 2024. Notably, 2 places in Vietnam including Hue and Hanoi were named in this list.

On December 11, representatives of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports informed that the Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism announced the decision to include the Hue Nam Temple Festival (Huong Tho Commune, Hue City) and Van Cu noodle-making craft (Huong Toan Commune, Huong Tra Town) in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

On the morning of October 11th, the Department of Tourism announced that Thua Thien Hue has added another resort to its list of 5-star accommodations, marking the 10th tourism establishment in the province to meet this standard.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has just issued a decision to recognize “The Knowledge of Making and Wearing Hue Ao dai” of Thua Thien Hue Province as part of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. This serves as an impetus for the Thua Thien Hue Garment Association to promote the introduction of the five-panel Ao dai into schools.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has added 17 more heritages to the list of national intangible cultural heritages, including Hanoi Pho, Nam Dinh Pho, the Quang An lotus tea preservation craft, Sa Huynh pottery making craft, and more.

However, in Vietnam, the jazz-listening community remains quite small, lacking widespread venues for the general public. In Hue, jazz is particularly young, both in terms of its audience and the community of musicians who play it.
