On September 15th, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, in coordination with Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, organized the 2026 Resident Doctors’ Day and welcomed 150 new resident doctors from 18 specialties for the 2026-2029 training program. These young doctors are beginning their journey of study, practice and research at the hospital.

Drawing on the woodblock prints of traditional Vietnamese folk painting genres such as Dong Ho, Hang Trong, Kim Hoang, and Lang Sinh, the Woodblock Art Experience Space at 23-25 Le Loi Street brings visitors closer to traditional art. Beyond contemplating the artworks, visitors can try printing and coloring the woodblocks while discovering the stories and cultural values behind each piece.

From the evening of September 12th through September 14th, Hue is expected to continue experiencing heavy to very heavy rain, with some areas forecast to receive more than 250mm. On September 11, the Sub-department of Irrigation and Climate Change reported that irrigation and hydropower reservoirs in the area continue to operate safely. From August 26 to September 15, the city’s health sector is rolling out the first high-dose Vitamin A supplementation campaign of 2026 for children aged 6 to under 60 months in ethnic minority and mountainous communes. The campaign aims to provide children with essential micronutrients and help reduce malnutrition rates in these areas.

Vietnam’s sepak takraw team has successfully defended its title, winning 7 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal at the 2026 World Sepak Takraw Championships, held from August 25 to 30 in the Federal Republic of Germany.
