On December 6, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University kicked off the 7th Hue Science Festival with the theme “Cooperation for community health” and the 1st International Biomedicine Conference, along with the inauguration of the Institute of Biomedicine, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.

Green growth and sustainable development are the most talked-about topics since the COP26 conference, where Vietnam committed to the international community to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Since then, the story of attracting investment towards "greening" has gained even more attention.

In response to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3rd), the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs collaborated with the Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP) to organize a community-oriented running program, “Together with Persons with Disabilities,” under the theme “Every Step Counts - Connecting Love” in Hue City on the morning of December 3rd.

On the morning of May 19, the Provincial Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue coordinated with the Institute for Social and Environment Transition – International (ISET-International) – Plan International Office in Switzerland held a national workshop on the project of building up resilience to flood for the community in Thua Thien Hue province.

On the afternoon of October 19th, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a meeting with the Delegation of Wallonie-Brussels, Belgium led by Mr. Pierre-Yves Jeholet, Minister and President of the French Community of Belgium (Wallonie-Bruxelles), who is in charge of international cooperation.

Although the project implementation has just been in the survey phase, the "Local Capacity Development" (LCD) project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is considered an opportunity for Thua Thien Hue to improve local capacity as well as orientation in community support.
