Alongside public museum institutions, the system of private museums in Hue is considered a highlight in promoting cultural and heritage values and has become an attractive destination on the tourism map. However, the establishment of tours still depends on each museum’s own approach.

According to VNA (Vietnam News Agency) reporters in Sydney, Australia’s Sky News recently published an article stating that when Australian travelers seek “meaningful cultural adventures”, Vietnam tops their list, as tourism in this Southeast Asian country offers high quality at a lower cost compared to any other popular destination.

Among the many choices of destinations during this year’s National Day holiday, many tourists still prefer hot spots in the Ancient Capital to explore the cultural heritage and other types of tourism, as well as experience the ancient features of Hue with a peaceful pace of life.

In addition to their primary function of displaying artifacts, many museums and cultural-artistic spaces also fulfill another important role: organizing events for exchange, conversation, and discussion on related issues. On April 22nd, Thua Thien Hue History Museum announced that as part of the activities for National Tourism Year 2024 and the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) in Dien Bien, the museum has brought the exhibition “Hue - Cultural heritage, Potential destination” to the public.

According to Hue Monuments Conservation Center, this Lunar New Year, the Tu Phuong Vo Su Pavilion, a cultural destination of the heritage of Hue Ancient Capital, is put back into operation as a stopover for visitors from all over the world, after a period of closure.

With its potential and strength in tourism and distinctive cultural features, Thua Thien Hue has just been recommended by Travel+Leisure Travel Magazine (The US) as one of the must-visit destinations in Asia that travelers should not miss in their journeys in 2024.
