Achieving the status of a centrally governed municipality brings new opportunities for Hue. Alongside its fresh and vibrant developments, Hue is increasingly recognized as a culinary city where quintessence converges.

On November 11th, Hue Tourism College collaborated with Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Thua Thien Hue Province to host a seminar and exchange event featuring Vietnamese - Japanese traditional New Year culinary culture.

On the evening of July 5th, the Department of Tourism organized the opening ceremony of Hue Lotus Festival 2024 with the theme “Returning to the land of the Royal Lotus” at Tu Tuong Park, Hue City.

Alongside the festive atmosphere of the 2024 festivals taking place in the province, the People's Committee of Hue City organizes Hue Traditional Food Week 2024 with the theme “Hue Cuisine with all Localities” at Thuong Bac Park, Tran Hung Dao street, Dong Ba ward.

On the morning of September 4, the People’s Committee of Thuy Bieu Ward organized this activity, within the framework of the 7th Hue Thanh tra grapefruit Festival in 2022.

On May 17, many specialties and cultural products of ethnic minorities in Nam Dong district were displayed at the front yard of Guol house - Culture and Information Office of Nam Dong district. The program is part of the series of events in the 14th provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival of Ethnic minority groups in 2022.

On the evening of April 29, the gathering of Vietnamese culinary artisans at Hue Festival 2022 was formally held by the Vietnam Cuisine Culture Association at Duyet Thi Duong Theater in the Imperial Citadel. The program aimed to celebrate the success of the convention of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Cuisine Culture Association.

The festival “Hue – the capital of gastronomy” is being held from April 30th to May 1st, at Tu Tuong Park on Le Loi Street in Hue City.
