More than 1,000 people from all three regions of the country, wearing traditional and modern ao dai, gathered in Hue for a parade. All of this created a vibrant, colorful, and festive atmosphere right in the heart of Hue City.

Responding to the “Ao Dai Week”, women across A Luoi have been donning their traditional ao dai, shining in costumes made from Zeng fabric. The fusion of ao dai Vietnam with the intricate patterns of A Luoi Zeng fabric creates a look that is both graceful and deeply rich heritage value.

Throughout the S-shaped strip of the land of Vietnam, Ao dai can be found in every region. Specifically, in Hue, Ao dai has become a part of the cultural identity and unique beauty of the people here. An important milestone in Hue Ao dai costume was in 1744, after Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat ascended the throne in Phu Xuan, he promulgated many policies and mentioned the modification of costumes. Thereafter, during the Nguyen Dynasty, the court issued an order, creating an opportunity for Hue women in particular and Vietnamese women in general to wear Ao dai regularly. Accordingly, the tradition of wearing Ao dai gradually entered the daily life of people.

In the green space of Da:me space coffee, an offline event with the theme "Ánh sáng kinh đô" (Capital City Light) for both professional and amateur photographers from Hue took place. The special guest of this event was Mr. Doan Quang, an experienced photographer of Hue origin who is currently working and living in Da Nang.

Born and raised in the South, educated abroad, but the young man La Quoc Bao has a natural affinity and passion for researching and reviving Nguyen dynasty costumes.

Recently, the movement of wearing ancient clothes to visit Hue Imperial Palace has been loved by many people. Throughout the palaces, the corridors, the aisles, the flower gardens, etc., in the Royal Palace, there are many people wearing colorful ancient costumes.

Recently, the movement of ancient costume “revival” has strongly developed; in which, the ancient costumes originated from Hue such as the five-panel Ao dai, Ao Tac, and Nhat Binh dresses are the favorite of many people.

The Vietnam Writers Association has just announced the 2022 Literary Prize for 5 authors and the Young Author Award for 3 authors. Le Vu Truong Giang was honored to win the Young Author Award in 2022 in the prose category with the book "Bac mau ao ngu" (Faded royal costumes).
