In the rhythm of modern life, cyclos still roll through streets, preserving the distinctive charm of gentle Hue and remaining tied to the experiences of visitors who come here. However, cyclos still serve primarily as a means of transportation, with little integration of diverse cultural experiences that could help create a distinctive offering for the Ancient Capital’s tourism.

If you saw giant freshwater prawns nearly as thick as an adult’s wrist, three of which may weigh a kilogram on average, few of you would guess they were wild-caught from the Bo River. Their firm, succulent flesh, naturally sweet flavor, and rich, golden roe make them truly exceptional. On August 1st (the 19th day of the sixth lunar month, Year of the Horse), the Executive Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) - Hue City officially opened the Guanyin Festival at the Guanyin Buddhist Spiritual Tourism Center on Tu Tuong Mountain in Thuy Xuan Ward, Hue City. ​

Visiting ‘Hue Beef Noodle Soup Day’ as part of the ‘Hue - Culinary Capital 2026’ program, I am reminded of Miss Noodle from folk legend and the late, famous American chef Anthony Bourdain.

After 4 days of taking place from July 23 to 26, the program Hue - Culinary Capital 2026, which was held under the theme ‘The Day of Hue Beef Noodle’, attracted about 48,000 tourist arrivals and generated an estimated revenue of about 12 billion VND.

The event was attended by Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.

On the late afternoon of July 24, the Department of Tourism, in coordination with relevant units, organized the National Bun bo Hue Festival. This is one of the highlight activities of the Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 program, aimed at honoring traditional values and spreading the Bun bo Hue brand to a wide audience of residents and visitors.

Beyond a celebration of Hue Beef Noodle, the iconic dish of the Ancient Capital, the Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 program has become a vibrant showcase of culinary excellence from across Vietnam. From Hue’s traditional flavors to regional specialties from every corner of the country, each food stall and every dish tells a story of Vietnam’s rich cultural identity, taking visitors on a journey that awakens all their senses.

On the afternoon of July 23rd, Hue Festival Organizing Committee held a press conference to announce Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026 - International Heritage and Music Festival. The event marks the first time Hue introduces a festival designed to develop into an annual international cultural and music festival IP, contributing to the growth of the cultural industries and promoting the image of the Ancient Capital.

Among more than 100 fine artworks with the theme "Fine Art Works - Collection of Hue Fine Arts Museum" being organized by Hue Fine Arts Museum at 15 Le LoiSt., Hue City, more than half are typical works of famous artists from the ancient capital or once associated with this land.
