Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long recently signed a decision approving the plan to implement the healthcare network development strategy for the 2021- 2030 period, prioritizing the development of six hospitals to meet international standards, including Hue Central Hospital (HCH). With a 130-year tradition, Hue Central Hospital is seizing numerous development opportunities. On February 16, Professor Pham Nhu Hiep, Director of Hue Central Hospital welcomed Professor Hiroyuki Shichino and the delegation from Japan. This is the visit of Professor Hiroyuki Shichino as the Head of the Department of Pediatrics, NCGM Hospital before he retires.

Hue Central Hospital shared that on October 7, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep - Director of Hue Central Hospital, the endoscopy department doctors collaborated with Vietnam Federation for Digestive Endoscopy (VFDE) have successfully deployed the technique to remove intrahepatic gallstones using peroral cholangioscopy with laser (Spyglass). The patient is Phan Thi T., 74 years old (from Thua Thien Hue).
