From familiar cover versions to the aspiration of writing their own songs, young artists in Hue are gradually making their mark with music that carries a modern vibe while preserving their distinctive style.

On the afternoon of August 9, Cecile Le Pham Fine Arts Museum unveiled its new exhibition space at No. 49-51 Ham Nghi St. (Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City), formerly a villa featuring French-style architecture.

Over 1,000 documents and artifacts stored in the French-style building at 23–25 Le Loi Street (Thuan Hoa Ward) are expected to be handed over to Hue Museum of History.

After more than 20 years of waiting, the first restoration of an ancient rường house (beamed house) among 21 ones in Bao Vinh Ancient Town, Huong Vinh Ward, Hue City, began in early November 2024. The project aims to restore the house to its original Hue-style beam architecture, contributing to urban revitalization, and promoting tourism and services in Bao Vinh Ancient Town.

In Hue, not many people play the Western saxophone because this musical instrument is not only difficult in terms of technique but also requires a lot of health. With a powerful but melodious saxophone sound and a confident performance style, Nguyen Huynh Thai Binh, a second-year student majoring in Western musical instrument performance at the Hue Academy of Music, is a rising young star of the saxophone world in the Ancient Capital.

On the afternoon of May 1st, the Organizing Committee of the Culinary Festival themed “The Quintessence of Noodle” set a Vietnam record with “Hue-style mixed stir-fried noodle serving 1,000 diners at a time”.

Choosing either a river, a body of water, or just a village, the authors, with their own memories, provide readers with a unique yet familiar view of Hue. In their writings, the beauties of the heritage, the culture, and the people are exploited skillfully in soft writing styles and with interesting facts.

These are the works of Hue artists or those living, studying and working in Hue, those who have been contributing to the formation and development of Hue fine arts. The collected pieces have high artistic value and bear the unique styles of the artists.
