On the morning of March 25, Hue Central Hospital announced that it had held a discharge ceremony for a pediatric patient with thalassemia (a hereditary blood disorder) following a successful bone marrow transplant using marrow donated by the patient’s older sister. This is the 15th thalassemia bone marrow transplant performed at the hospital, marking an important step forward in the treatment of genetic hematologic diseases.

In celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2026), the 51st anniversary of Hue’s Liberation Day, and the successful election of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, many schools across the city have organized vibrant activities, fostering a spirit of enthusiasm in learning and self-improvement among students.

Viewed from the realities of conserving and promoting cultural heritage, successive generations at the Hue Monuments Conservation Center have continually wrestled with a question: how can heritage be more than merely “preserved”…

There’s a whole movement called “Yellow apricot blossom in front of the entrance”; a completed research project on “Conservation and development of Hue’s yellow apricot variety (Hue’s Hoang mai)”; a scientific conference on developing Hue’s Hoang mai into a key local product, aimed at successfully realizing the project to build Thua Thien Hue province (now Hue City) into Vietnam’s yellow apricot homeland. My friend, journalist Minh Tu, even published a book called “In front of the house stands a yellow apricot tree”, which sold out instantly, was reprinted, and translated into foreign languages to great acclaim.

From a modest family yard to a Hue yellow apricot garden spanning thousands of square meters, the journey of Mr. Nguyen Phi Truong (Quang Dien), a 9X businessman, is not only a successful youth startup story but also a testament to the momentum of modern agricultural thinking in the digital era.

On February 13, the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Thanh Thuy Ward organized an art performance titled “Celebrating the Party, the Spring, and the Success of the 14th National Party Congress”, and the “Tet in the countryside of the Tiled-roof Bridge” program at the Thanh Toan Tiled-roof Bridge community tourism site.

On the afternoon of February 4, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Standing Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, held a courtesy reception for a delegation from Champasak Province (Lao People’s Democratic Republic). The delegation visited, extended Tet greetings, and congratulated the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. On the morning of February 3, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, received representatives from various religious organizations, who visited the city leaders on the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026), and extended traditional Tet greetings, and celebrated the success of the 14th National Party Congress.

On the afternoon of January 23, Hue City Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to announce the recruitment decisions and work assignments for teachers, who successfully passed the teacher recruitment examination for the academic year 2025 - 2026.

After five days of urgent, serious, effective, and responsible work, the closing session of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam was held on the afternoon of January 23rd at the National Convention Center in Hanoi capital city.
