The image of people jogging daily on the streets and alleys of Hue has become familiar. From this widespread grassroots movement, Hue has become a destination for national-level running events.

The 6th “Hue Jogging - Running for the community” event in 2025 took place on the morning of February 16 at Phu Van Lau (Le Duan Street), attracting nearly 6,000 participants. The event featured two distances, including 5km and 10km.

Overcoming 200 applicants to advance to the next round, the little girl Nguyen Khanh Ly (Hue City) excellently won the first runner-up and she was crowned at the final round of the “Global Child Supermodel” competition.

On November 5, the Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs coordinated with Fédération Handicap International (Humanity & Inclusion) (HI) in Vietnam held a conference to run the project “Enhancing access to information and employment opportunities for the handicapped through appropriate technology and digital applications” in the period of 2024 – 2027.

“Just one rain in Hue makes it be winter” is how Minh Tu, the journalist, borrowed the ancients to describe Hue rain in the long-running series titled “The awaited rains” in Tuoi Tre newspaper. On the morning of September 1st, the 5th edition of “Hue Jogging – Running for the community” event of 2024, with the theme “Hue Always New,” took place at the Square of the Provincial Administrative Urban Area in Xuan Phu Ward, Hue City.

Following the success of four previous events, attracting a large number of residents and tourists, Hue City continues with the 5th edition of the “Hue Jogging – Running for the community” program in 2024, themed “Always New Hue.”

The second Quang Dien Half Marathon 2024 offers athletes the experience of running through paths surrounded by the golden expanse of ripe rice fields and the rolling waves of the Tam Giang Lagoon.

The “Romantic features in the ancient village”painting contest, organized by the project supportingViet Nam’s social impact business ecosystemin response to COVID-19 (ISEE-COVID) in collaboration with the Department of Planning and Investment, is currently running from June 30th to July 13th, 2024, at Phuoc Tich ancient village, Phong Hoa commune, Phong Dien district.
