Once again, Thua Thien Hue Karatedo took the throne with a spectacular return to the top at the 10th Central Region - Central Highlands Karatedo Championship in 2024. Also in late April, 2 athletes Le Van Tinh and Le Minh Thuan are part of the national team to compete at the Southeast Asian Championship in Thailand.

"220 years of Vietnam's national name - historical journeys (1804 - 2024)" is the topic of a scientific conference organized by the Provincial Historical Science Association. The conference took place on the morning of April 23 in Hue City.

The painting "Long van khe hoi" (Nine dragons in the clouds) is a masterpiece on the ceiling of the old main hall of Dieu De Pagoda, which has been moved around 20 meters backward, and is currently being well preserved to the surprise of many. At the Award Ceremony of "L'ORÉAL - UNESCO For the Development of Women in Science" in 2023, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Thi Ai Nhung made an impression with her “typical Hue” image upon giving a presentation on the research topic relevant to the potential and application of endemic medicinal plants in Thua Thien Hue Province in supporting disease treatment for public health care. She was among three female scientists honored by L'ORÉAL - UNESCO in 2023.

From the 23rd position nationwide in 2016, Thua Thien Hue's spearhead education has risen to 9th, and its position in the top 10 has been maintained and consolidated in recent years.

It has been 40 years until the school year 2022 – 2023 that Thua Thien Hue had the first award for Math in the national exam for excellent students. The achievement of Tu Cong Thanh, a Grade 12 student of Class Math 1 of Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, has made many people feel confident and hopeful about “reviving” the top-notch math.

On the evening of April 1, at Thanh Toan titled-roof Bridge (Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy Town), the Department of Tourism coordinated with Huong Thuy Town and Saigon Tiep Thi Newspaper organized a ceremony to announce the results of “Vietnam’s Top 7 Impression 2022” and launch the vote for “Vietnam’s Top 7 Impression 2023”.

Hue University marked an important milestone in the international university rankings in 2022. The target to shorten the gap between the top 300 leading universities in Asia has become reachable.
