On the morning of September 12, in My Thuong Ward, the city’s Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights, in coordination with the Children of Vietnam (the United States), organized the program ‘Back-to-school support - Scholarship support for disadvantaged students in Thuan Hoa, Phu Xuan, My Thuong, Vy Da wards, and Phan Dang Luu High School in the period of 2026 - 2031’.

Early in the morning, in a three-bay house filled with sea air in Phuong Loc Village (Phu Vinh Commune), 73-year-old Tran Van Than, surrounded by bamboo baskets, miniature boats, and coracles, was moving his hands skillfully with thin bamboo strips. Having spent decades making a living from the sea, though his health no longer allows him to work at sea, his deep affection for his hometown’s sea lives on through every product he makes.

The 2026 Hue City Open Pickleball Tournament for the Uyen Phuong Cup opened on the morning of August 8 at Uyen Phuong Pickleball courts at No. 150 Nguyen Trai St. The event is part of Hue Sports Festival 2026, jointly organized by the Department of Culture and Sports and Uyen Phuong Sports JSC. On July 25, the Khoi su tu tam Foundation held an incense- and flower-offering ceremony at Phu Gia Martyrs’ Cemetery (Phu Vang Commune) and presented appreciation gifts to war invalids, sick soldiers, families of fallen soldiers, and people with meritorious service to the revolution on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.

On the morning of July 24, the Department of Tourism coordinated with Hue Monuments Conservation Center to present gifts to Ms. Ha Phuong and her son in recognition of their 790-km walk from Hanoi to Hue as a gesture of encouragement.

On the morning of July 11, Phong Dinh Ward People’s Committee officially launched the Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2026 at Phuoc Tich Ancient Village under the theme “Traditional Ao Dai - Old Scent of the Ancient Village”.
