Despite its abundant potential, river tourism in Hue remains underdeveloped, lagging behind its available natural resources. The lack of services, transport infrastructure, and collaboration in river tourism development have all posed significant barriers, preventing this sector from thriving.

The 11th Huong Thuy traditional spring boat racing 2024 took place on the morning of February 18th (the 9th day of the first month in lunar year) at Loi Nong River (Thuy Phương Ward).

The first annual boat racing event of Thuy Thanh commune (Huong Thuy town) kicked off on the morning of August 30th on Nhu Y River (at the community tourism spot of Thanh Toan Tiled-Roof Bridge), marking the start of a series of activities to celebrate numerous important local events.

On July 7, leaders of the Project Management Board on Improving Hue City Water Environment informed that the unit has started implementing the construction of the walking path along the Nhu Y River (Hue City) through the capital of nearly 260 billion VND sponsored by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

After 5 days of running, “The country’s fair in the festival” responding to Hue Festival 2022 in Thanh Toan tiled-roof Bridge (Thuy Thanh Commune – Huong Thuy Town) ended on the evening of June 30 with the promise of coming back in Hue Festival 2024.

After a colorful opening night, on the evening of June 27, the “Countryside Market in the Festival” responding to Hue Festival 2022 continued to take place with many attractive programs.
