On July 8, 2026, the Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee issued Decision No. 2376/QD-UBND approving the Project ‘Exploiting and Promoting the Value of the Complex of Hue Monuments to 2035’.

From early morning, Thuan An Beach in Hue city is already bustling with swimmers, joggers, children playing on the sand and visitors taking photos. On the morning of August 1, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh, together with Standing Committee Member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh, conducted an on-site inspection of construction progress at the boarding inter-level schools (primary and secondary level) in the communes of A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4. The inspection was aimed at reviewing overall progress, promptly resolving difficulties, and ensuring readiness for the 2026 - 2027 academic year.

On August 1st (the 19th day of the sixth lunar month, Year of the Horse), the Executive Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) - Hue City officially opened the Guanyin Festival at the Guanyin Buddhist Spiritual Tourism Center on Tu Tuong Mountain in Thuy Xuan Ward, Hue City. ​

After more than three weeks, the training program on Hue-Singing (Ca Hue) performance skills for more than 180 music teachers from primary schools across Hue City, organized by the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, concluded on the afternoon of July 31.

On the morning of July 31, at the Southern Women’s Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, the Tran Van Khe Scholarship Foundation held the announcement and award presentation ceremony for the 2026 Tran Van Khe Awards. Notably, the Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theatre was one of only two organizations honored in recognition of its outstanding contributions to the preservation, research, and promotion of Vietnam’s traditional music.

At the 2nd Special Session of the 9th Hue City People's Council for the 2026 - 2031 term, which opened on the afternoon of July 26th, delegates approved two key resolutions: a list of six transport infrastructure projects to be implemented under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, and a policy providing free general education textbooks beginning with the 2026 - 2027 academic year.

On the afternoon of July 30, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang received and held a working session with a delegation from Yulin City, Guangxi Province (China), led by Mr. Tran Thuy, Deputy Secretary-General (Deputy Chief of Office) of the Yulin City Party Committee.

On July 30, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang had an official meeting with Mr. Ha Jungil, the newly appointed Consul General of South Korea in Danang.
