Thua Thien Hue is a land that has all the necessary elements and advantages for the development of wellness tourism (WT). For this type of tourism to develop and attract customers, the construction and promotion of the WT brand needs to be implemented in a systematic and in-depth way.

To reach sustainable tourism development, running towards green tourism is indispensable. Thua Thien Hue has special strengths of cultural, historical, and landscape, as well as environmental resources to develop tourism; and, carrying out cooperation to develop green tourism is one of the goals.

Journeys in Hue (JiH) is a group of young enthusiasts dedicated to promoting Hue through social media, viewing it “through the lens of Hue people”. In an interview with Thua Thien Hue Weekly, Le Duc Hoang, the group's representative, stated, “JiH always cherishes the desire to contribute its small part to the development of Hue tourism.”

Hue City is selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as one of seven cities implementing the "Creative Cities Network Development Project", within the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). According to experts, this is both opportunity and challenge.
