Overcoming many stereotypes, Do Ky Minh Hien, a Gen Z young man from Hue, and his like-minded friends have built a community dedicated to snake identification and first aid for snakebites in Vietnam.

In the framework of the workshop Customer Experience Management for Medium and Small Enterprises, held on the morning of February 20 at the Space of Hue Books and Culture (23-25 Le Loi St.), Pham To Hoai, an expert, shared his experiences to participants.

"Having visited dreamy Hue a few times, I cherish a gentle love for it"(*) – these familiar lyrics resonate deeply with me. My first visit to Hue was as a university student, and over the years, I have returned many times.

Hue is developing every day, yet it never loses its peaceful rhythm. Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, many visitors set aside their worries and come to Hue to immerse themselves in the serenity and purity of nature.

For Hue and Hue people the Thanh tra tree has been named for hundreds of years now. Over time, this speciality fruit tree is gradually degenerating and becomes weakened. Dr. La Thi Thu Hang, an expert on agriculture at University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, has succeeded in introducing “high-tech” Thanh tra trees to many gardeners in Hue.

The Nhat Binh ceremonial gown of Empress Nam Phuong, the memorabilia of Emperor Ham Nghi, and the bonnet of a high-ranking mandarin are “priceless” gifts donated by individuals to Hue.

During the journey to Hue at the beginning of the Year of Snake, many tourists consider the Hue Imperial Citadel as a must-visit destination. Despite the cold weather with occasional rain and sunshine, tourists still want to spend much time checking-in the Royal Citadel and immerse themselves into various activities to gain vivid feelings about the traditional Tet in the Ancient Capital.

Despite the cold and rainy weather, many people in Hue continued the tradition of visiting pagodas on the first day of the Lunar New Year to worship Buddha and pray for a peaceful and prosperous year.

Thanks to technology, many delicious dishes from Hue have transcended the borders of their homeland. The unique flavors of the ancient capital are now finding their way to the East and the West, driven by the rise of e-commerce and the entrepreneurial spirit.

It may seem easy to dream of a day when Gia Hoi “revives,” not only preserving its essence and cultural heritage values, but also seizing the opportunity for this ancient quarter to develop. The preservation of heritage values in this ancient quarter located east of the Hue Citadel, however, is facing many challenges and conflicts.
