On the morning of June 17th, Hue City People's Committee held a meeting and commendation ceremony for Hue Football Club following its achievement of securing one of the two direct promotion spots to compete in the National First Division for the 2026/2027 season. As part of Hue International Music Week 2026, the stage along the Perfume River once again left a lasting impression on Hue residents and visitors on the evening of June 17th. The program was supported by the French Embassy and the French Institute in Vietnam.

This is the surviving lychee (hac le chi) tree, believed to have been grown from three lychee fruits bestowed upon the palace by the emperor. The tree casts shade over a corner of the palace, and its trunk is so wide that it would take several people to embrace it.

Among them is a type of cake that few people know about, called “Hồng Đào Nguỵ Quả”; (or commonly known as Gac or Spiny gourd cakes), a cake shaped like a unique fruit that people in Hue present on joyful occasions such as weddings and festivals.
