Western visitors in the Western Quarter

On the afternoon of September 19, Hue City People’s Committee held a meeting to review the organization of Hue Heritage and International Music Festival - Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026. Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang chaired the meeting. The meeting was also attended by representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and units.

During the September 2nd National Day holiday, Ru Cha in Hoa Chau Ward became a popular destination for local residents and visitors. The lush mangrove forest amid Tam Giang Lagoon, together with a community-based ecotourism model currently being piloted, has begun to enhance the destination’s appeal while opening up new livelihood opportunities for local residents.

According to the information released by the Department of Tourism on the morning of August 20, based on survey data, the number of tourists to Hue during this year’s National Day holiday (September 2) is expected to keep on rising year-on-year, reaching an estimated 535,000 arrivals.

By hosting the Hue Heritage and International Music Festival 2026 - Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026, which is scheduled from August 30 to September 1, alongside the National Day Holiday on September 2, Hue City is expected to witness a surge in tourist arrivals. This may lead to a local ‘fully booked’ situation at certain peak times. Drawing from the experience of the last April 30 - May 1 holiday, the local tourism sector is developing plans to enhance its reception capacity and service quality.

Organized by the Hue City Center for Culture and Cinema, the ‘Hue and the Flow of History’ Film Week runs from August 19 to September 5.
