The flavors of Hue

HNN.VN - In this weekend’s edition, Hue Today Weekly would like to present a collection of photos taken by Anh Le, a photographer, designed to stir the senses of readers near and far with dishes rich in Hue flavors.

With a vast culinary heritage that blends the sophisticated royal cuisine and the rustic, diverse famous folk dishes such as bun bo, com hen, nem lui, banh beo, banh bot loc, and che Hue, etc., people often say that Hue residents do not eat merely to be full; they eat to remember, to love, and to preserve their traditions. For this reason, every humble dish carries the cultural depth, lifestyle, and character of the local people.

Describing himself as “not a food reviewer”, Anh Le shares that his work is driven by a deep appreciation for Hue cuisine. His photos began as a personal project to document specialty dishes of Hue, and later as a visual way to introduce the dishes to friends everywhere. The locations he photographed are long-standing eateries known for their authentic flavors, and lovely, friendly owners…

It is our hope that friends and visitors from near and far will always find comfort and warmth when they come to Hue!
