Over 700 students of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy take part in blood donation festival

HNN.VN - On the morning of October 21, Hue University held the first season of blood donation festival in the 2018 – 2019 academic year with the theme “Loving Autumn - acting for community” at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy . The activity attracted the participation of over 700 students.

Students come early to take part in blood donation

In addition to the blood donation activity, the festival also held a series of sideline events “Accompanying with blood donation festival” including many activities such as calligraphic space to honor the noble blood donation good deeds, with the participation of the Youth Union’s members of  Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, presenting 350 to 500 calligraphy letters following the request of the students participating in blood donation and some other games, etc.

According to Mr. Tran Van Khoi, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, head of organization board, in this blood donation season, there were many first-year students and many students donating blood in the first time. The festival will receive around 500 blood units.

Individuals are rewarded at the blood donation festival

Besides the blood donation program, the Blood Bank Club of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy also promptly provides blood around the clock for urgent cases to help patients overcome critical conditions.

On this occasion, the Youth Union of Hue University of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University rewarded 10 individuals having many contributions to voluntary blood donation movement.
