National e-Government Conference is opened in Hue

HNN.VN - On July 26, the 16th National e-Government Conference with the theme “Developing National administrative Service Portal and online One-stop Information System to contribute to improving the ability to serve people and businesses” was opened in Hue City.

Attending the conference were Minister, Chairman of the Office of the Government Mai Tien Dung; the Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Nguyen Thanh Hung; General Director of the International Data Group IDG Le Thanh Tam. As for the province, there were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu; Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan Ngoc Tho, and a great number of businesses, investors and IT experts at home and abroad.

Overview of the conference

The conference aims to realize the goals of building the tectonic government to promote the development, integrity, actions, and serve the development of e-Government with the viewpoints: Ensuring the close cohesion, synchronizing IT applications with administrative reform, innovating the working methods, as well as innovating serving methods which put people and businesses at the center and taking the satisfaction of individuals and organizations as an important measure in the development of e-Government.

“I hope that we can share the experiences achieved by Thua Thien Hue province through this conference, as well as I desire to receive many suggestions of the experts to complete the model of the smart city of the province,” shared Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho.

The Minister, Chairman of the Office of the Government Mai Tien Dung affirmed that the work of implementing e-Government is the essential trend to improve the transparence in the government’s activities, contributing to developing the economy, raising the competitiveness in the international arena. The 2019 national e-Government conference discusses the solutions which can effectively support the partial implementation of the missions set by the government – Establishing the application systems to serve people, businesses and serve the management of the government.
