Hue city hosts a scientific conference on the revolutionary Nguyen Chi Dieu

HNN.VN - The scientific conference themed “Nguyen Chi Dieu with the revolution of Vietnam and his Thua Thien Hue hometown” was co-host by Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Central Commission for Communication and Education and Thua Thien Hue Provincial Party Committee on the morning of November 8th.

This was a significant activity to celebrate 110th birthday anniversary of comrade Nguyen Chi Dieu (1908 - 2018).

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu highlighted that Thuan Hoa - Phu Xuan - Hue is the land of national essence…, with rich history, culture and revolutionary tradition of the nation. This is also the birthplace of and a convergence for many generations of heroes, including the excellent Nguyen Chi Dieu.

In his keynote speech, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Secretary of Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Committee, President of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics affirmed that the conference is an essential and practical activity in order to review the life, career, and revolutionary activities of comrade Nguyen Chi Dieu - the loyal communist soldier, who strived and dedicated his entire life to the independence and freedom for the Fatherland, and for the happiness of the People. This is also an occasion for us to honor his dedication to the revolution in Vietnam and his hometown of Thua Thien Hue.

Many enthusiasts from central to local authorities attended the conference

The conference received 35 articles of Central and local leaders, researchers and scientists. In particular, the conference focused on analyzing and clarifying issues related to Nguyen Chi Dieu as a senior leader, one of the party members, and an individual who had important contribution to the development of Tan Viet Revolution Party from a patriotic organization to the forerunner of Vietnam  Communist Party, Nguyen Chi Dieu – a shining example of revolutionary morality of the communist party member, comrade Nguyen Chi Dieu – an excellent person of Thua Thien Hue homeland.
