Honoring outstanding voluntary blood donors

HNN.VN - On the morning of July 3, the Steering Committee of Voluntary Blood Donation of Hue City held a ceremony to honor 34 outstanding voluntary blood donors in 2019.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dang Thanh, the movement of voluntary blood donation has become more and more powerful, sustainable, and has had great pervasion in the community. In the first six months of 2019, Hue City held over 10 sessions of voluntary blood donation, attracting the participation of 2.345 donors, reaching 66% target of the plan; in which, there are various localities and units doing well such as Hue Medical College, Truong An ward, Thuy Bieu ward, and Phuong Duc ward, etc.

Among the tens of thousands of people participating in the voluntary blood donations of Hue City, there are thousands of people donate for 2 - 4 times, hundreds of people donate blood for 5 - 10 times, etc. These are the excellent and outstanding role models, the beautiful flowers in the voluntary blood donation movement.

At the ceremony, the leaders of People’s Committee of Hue City awarded certificates to 34 outstanding blood donors such as Mr. Phan Van Tai (Thuan Thanh ward) who has donated blood 21 times, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhu Y (Hue Medical College) with 17 times of voluntary blood donation; Mr. Truong Ngoc Hung (Vinh Ninh ward) and Mr. Phan Van Vu (Phu Thuan ward) with 16 times of voluntary blood donation, etc.

The leaders of Hue City desired that the voluntary blood donors who were honored in this occasion will keep on carrying out the noble good deep “Save lives by blood”; at the same time, acting as the link to encourage other people to join the movement together.
