Cooperation in tourism development in 4 mountainous districts

HNN.VN - Tourism development cooperation of A Luoi district (Thua Thien Hue province) and the districts of Dong Giang, Tay Giang, Nam Giang (Quang Nam province) was the content of a conference organized by the People's Committee of A Luoi district on March 2.

In 2017, the cooperation of tourism development in the four mountainous districts created an inter-regional connection, contributing to the expansion and diversification of tourism products on the legendary Ho Chi Minh road. The localities have linked spots of ecotourism, historical tourism and community-based tourism, creating new tours with more diversified and richer destinations; building tours to introduce homestay destinations in A Luoi, ecotourism village tours of Pomu, Axan commune, and community tours in Dong Giang district, etc. Thereby, the number of visitors in the four districts is estimated at about 32,735; the total revenue from tourism has reached over VND 7.4 billion.

The conference analyzes the tourism potential of districts and discusses methods to link tourism development among localities in the area, so as to promote the branding of characteristic tourism products. Accordingly, it is determined to continue coordinating the organization of surveys and introduction of routes, tourist spots of districts in the linking clusters; and set up the tourism development cooperation with the districts of Huong Hoa, Dakrong (Quang Tri) and Bo Trach district (Quang Binh) in the coming time.
