Building "Hue – a city of four seasons of flowers"

HNN.VN - On February 17, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho and representatives of leaders of some departments, sectors and units surveyed the banks of the Huong River to build a city of four seasons of flowers under a plan of building a “Bright - Green - Clean" Thua Thien Hue.

Starting from Nghinh Luong Dinh (Luong Dinh Welcome Pavilion), Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho and members of the delegation took a field trip on the two banks of the Huong River to the area in front of Van Thanh - Vo Thanh relic. The view of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee is to survey the banks of the Huong River to build a city of four seasons of flowers in Hue, creating a new face for Hue city - an impressive destination for domestic and foreign tourists when coming to Hue, as well as creating a new living space for people. At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned departments, branches and localities to study and form a lotus and water lily flowers field at the area crossing Thanh Lam field, Huong Thuy town.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee asked related units to immediately focus on growing flowers and trees on both banks of the Huong River and the route from Phu Bai Airport to Hue. In order to implement this idea, it is recommended that the related units should advise on the study of which flowers and trees should be suitable to be planted with the aim of bringing into reality the goal of organizing a spring flower festival in Hue.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed to deploy the plans urgently, the government will support the infrastructure, the rest is to implement socialization; let the enterprises and people jointly implement and manage. Not only asking to plant flowers and trees along the banks of the Huong River to make Hue more beautiful, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho aslo proposed to continue researching and implementing the lighting system on both banks of the Huong River.

In addition, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also asked the Department of Construction, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Hue City People's Committee  and a number of other related units to re-examine the planning of outdoor advertising boards, price lists of land for advertisements, and to select investors participating in socialization of the construction to beautify the boat stations along the banks of the Huong River, study the walking route extending from Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street to Da Vien Bridge and the route for cyclists.
