Although this is the first time the tournament has been held, the participation of nearly 1.000 athletes highlights the growth of Nghia Dung Karate-Do and its branches and clubs across the country. It has also become one of the largest and most well-attended events in the 2025 “Hue Sports Festival”, a sports week promoting community health.

The Nghia Dung Karate-Do sect was founded in 1978 by master Nguyen Van Dung, and is headquartered on Truong Dinh Street, Hue City.
