MOU on cooperation and consumption of agricultural products signed

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of May 10, the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation in provision of knowledge and consumption of products in agricultural production for farmers between the Centre for Rural Development in Central Vietnam (CRD), Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF), Central Group Vietnam and the Big C Supermarket took place in Hue city.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding is part of the "Community Livelihoods" program of Central Group Vietnam, which has been launched in early 2018. The program aims to realize the vision of Central Group Vietnam, committing to contribute to the overall prosperity of the country and improve the quality of life for Vietnamese people, as well as accompany the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in the period of 2016-2020.
 
Accordingly, the program aims to develop sustainable supply chains for agricultural and handicraft products, from the production to the consumption of farm households’ products. It also aims to help farmers in remote areas and coastal fishermen improve their incomes, their livelihoods and enrich themselves with their own products.
 
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong highly appreciated that the cooperation not only contributed to sustainable agricultural production, but also helped develop a  modern commercial model with high standards of food and agricultural products. Thua Thien Hue province always supports and creates the best conditions for the stakeholders to achieve their highest results according to the signed cooperation contents.
