Many activities in response to the “Clean Up the World” campaign

HNN.VN - On October 6, in Phu Da town (Phu Vang district), the Provincial Youth Union organized activities in response to the “Clean Up the World” campaign and the 4th National Green Sunday.

The program included activities such as the inauguration of the tree line, flower pathway of the youth; the rural environmental cleanup campaign; the inauguration of a rural electrification project of the youth; the campaign to clean up the central market of Phu Da town to reduce plastic waste and pay “0 VND” in cash; the implementation of a waste sorting model at source; and the “trash for trees” exchanging program. In total, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union provided more than 250 million VND in funding.

 Promoting environmentally friendly products

Through the response to the “Clean Up the World” campaign and the 4th National Green Sunday, the practical activities have contributed to cleaning up the living environment and reducing environmental pollution. This is an opportunity for the youth union members and young people not only to directly participate in cleaning up and beautifying the landscape, but also to strengthen the propagation, dissemination and education on environmental protection laws.

At the same time, people are called upon to actively participate in waste sorting at the source, reduce waste generation, and increase the reuse and recycling of waste; encourage the development and use of environmentally friendly alternative products, promote and encourage to dispose of waste in designated areas, maintain hygiene, and avoid littering, etc., contributing to raising the community awareness of environmental protection and minimizing the negative impacts of waste, especially plastic waste.
