Hue University honors young scientists

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of October 27, Hue University in collaboration with Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Science and Technology, Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association held the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of the "Students in Scientific Research" award and the "Science and Technology for Young Lecturers in Higher Education Institutions" award in 2018.

The students winning the first prize receive certificates of merit from the Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and certificates of the Ministry of Education and Training

The "Science and Technology for Young Lecturers in Higher Education Institutions" award is held triennially, and reserved for young lecturers in higher education institutions. This year, there are 75 works participating in 6 scientific and technological fields, with seven works winning the first prize, 13 works winning the second prize, 16 works winning the third prize, and 5 works winning the consolation prize.

The "Students in Scientific Research" award is organized annually. This year, the award has 389 works of 88 units in 6 areas, with the participation of nearly 950 students. 291/389 works (accounting for 74.8%) are considered for the prizes. Among them, there are nine first prizes, 49 second prizes, 96 third prizes, and 137 consolation prizes.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Training asked education institutions, scientists, lecturers and organizations to pay more attention to scientific research activities of young lecturers, and students in particular, contributing to the improvement of the quality of training in the startup spirit of the young generations.
