Exciting Hue Unicorn Dance Festival

HNN.VN - On the evening of December 29th, at the Provincial Sports Center (1 Ha Huy Tap Street, Hue City), the Hue Unicorn Dance Festival 2020 opened, with the participation of nearly 40 professional Unicorn Dance teams from all over the country and the host teams in Hue.

Unicorn Dance Festival 2020 is the third time the festival has been held, aiming at creating a community festival that attracts the public and visitors

This is the final community festival in the series of festivals at the end of 2020 organized by the Department of Tourism in coordination with other departments in the province. The festivals are part of the key programs of tourism - service development in 2020 and the project of restoring and stimulating tourism development in Thua Thien Hue in the period 2020-2021.

On the opening night, the "Mai Hoa Thung" contests of Unicorn Dance teams which required high techniques and adventurousness attracted thousands of people and visitors to enjoy. With skillful techniques and powerful charisma, the performances created an exciting atmosphere for the audience.

Mr. Le Huu Minh, Acting Director of the Department of Tourism, Head of the Organizing Committee of Hue Unicorn Dance Festival 2020, said that, apart from the meaning of a cultural and sports activity, contributing to maintaining, preserving and developing Vietnamese street folk dance art, the festival was also a unique gift from the organizers to local people and visitors to Hue during the transition between the old year and the new year.

Results of the night of "Mai Hoa Thung" competition are as follow: The first prize belonged to the Bach Ngoc Duong Unicorn Dance team - Hue; The second prize went to the Unicorn Dance team Hao Dung - Dong Thap and the third prize belonged to the Unicorn Dance team Bach Ho - Da Nang.

The evening of December 30 was the second night of the festival. It was also the last night with the contest "Nhat Dia Buu".
