“The fragrance of time” honoring women and ao dai

HNN.VN - “The fragrance of time” is the name of a private exhibition of female artist Dang Thi Thu An, which has just been opened and introduced to the viewers on the afternoon of October 14 at Le Ba Dang Art Space (15 Le Loi, Hue City).

Attending the exhibition were Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phan Ngoc Tho along with a large number of artists and people in love with art.

The female artist who is working at the University of Arts, Hue University brought to the exhibition 20 artworks created from 2018 up to now. With the material of oil painting and the theme of women, artist Thu An has partly taken the viewers to the unique features of the women, especially Hue women who are graceful, gentle and luxury in ao dai with the dreamy and nostalgic colors.

With Thu An, the image and beauty of women is an endless inspiration, which  is also a cultural beauty, contributing to preserving traditional values of the nation when going along with ao dai. This thought has always been in the mind of artist Thu An, boosting her to find out concepts to create the artworks as they are today.

Accompanying with the artist Thu An, on this occasion, Quang Hoa, an Ao dai designer also introduced to the viewers his collection of the five-panel Ao dai designed on the basis of the artworks of the female artist.

The exhibition opens for viewers till the end of October 18.
