Nearly 1,300 works attend the North Central Vietnam Photography Festival in 2018

HNN.VN - The North Central Vietnam Photography Festival in 2018 with the theme "Nature - People of the North Central Area" was held by the Vietnam Photography Association in collaboration with the provincial Association of Arts and Literature on September 17th at Ho Chi Minh Museum of the province.

The Organization Board received 1,294 photographic works of 185 authors from 6 provinces in the region including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue.

Among these, the jury selected 115 works of 67 authors to display at the exhibition, of which 11 were selected for award including 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, 3 bronze medals and 5 consolation prizes. In addition, the Organization Board also chose the works to award two teammate prizes.

This regional photography event contributes to the implementation of Resolution No. 23 of the Politburo on "Continue to build and develop the Culture and Arts in the new era", and the Resolution No. 9 of the National Assembly Session XI on "Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development of the country."
