Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue welcomes more than 122,000 visitors

HNN.VN - In 2023, Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue welcomed more than 122,000 visitors to the museum, as well as the relics under its management.

This information was announced by the leaders of Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue at a conference to summarize works in 2023 and deploy works in 2024, which was held on the morning of January 16.

Also in 2023, the unit organized and co-organized five exhibitions, with themes of propagating and introducing the background and career of the late President Ho Chi Minh,  as well as revolutionary movements of Thua Thien Hue people.

In addition, the unit also collected 35 documents and artifacts, including about 20 musical works on the theme of the late President Ho Chi Minh, which were composed by musicians participating in a composition competition on the theme of "Uncle Ho with Hue, and Hue with Uncle Ho"; and collected a number of valuable artifacts directly related to the late President Ho Chi Minh such as mourning bandage of Uncle Ho's funeral in 1969, and the glorious soldier's medal signed by the late President Ho Chi Minh. Along with that, over 1,000 documents and artifacts at the base warehouse were digitized.

According to the leaders of Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue, in 2024, the museum strives to welcome over 125,000 visitors to the museum and relics; of which, there are from 8,000 to 9,000 international visitors.

On the morning of February 11 (December 24th in the Year of the Snake), at the courtyard of the Thai Hoa Palace (Hue Imperial Citadel), the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre organized a reenactment of the Nguyen Dynasty’s Imperial New Year court ceremony. The event attracted large numbers of local residents and visitors, helping to recreate the traditional Lunar New Year atmosphere within the historic royal court setting.
