Closing Ceremony of the 8th Literary and Art Criticism Theory Writing Camp

Awarding certificates of completion to the camp participants 

The writing camp took place from June 15 to 20 under the theme “50 Years of Vietnamese Literature and Arts accompanying the Nation”.

A total of 66 researchers, critics, and literary theorists from 44 provinces and cities across the country participated in the camp. During nearly a week of participating in the camp activities, the participants dedicated their efforts and creativity to producing articles, research papers, and theoretical writings on the literature and arts of their localities, offering diverse perspectives and rich cultural insights.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Standing Member of the Council for Literary and Art Criticism Theory and Head of the Writing Camp, the participants’ articles and reports were in good quality. The articles focused on four main themes: Identifying the current developmental trends of Vietnamese literature and arts, thereby expanding the perspective to national and international levels; Orienting literature and arts to be closely connected with real life, truthfully reflecting social reality and the thoughts and emotions of people, contributing to a deep portrayal of the inner world and the human image; Delving into issues of Vietnamese literary criticism theory...

People’s Artist Vuong Duy Bien, Vice President of Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, shared that this writing camp resulted in 61 articles, theoretical papers, and critical essays. He acknowledged the efforts of the artists and writers who participated in the camp and expressed his hope that these works would serve as a foundation for much more in-depth articles and research in the future.
