Inauguration of Eon Industry Vietnam helmet manufacturing plant - Phase 1

HNN.VN - On the morning of September 1st, Eon Industry Vietnam Co., Ltd., held the inauguration ceremony of Eon Industry Vietnam Helmet Manufacturing Plant - Phase 1 at Gilimex Industrial Park (Phu Bai Ward). This project is part of a series of key works and projects inaugurated and launched in Hue City to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2nd).

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee; together with members of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and relevant departments and agencies of Hue City.

Began in March 2024, Phase 1 of the project has been completed with a land area of over 20.000 m² and a total floor area of more than 41.000 m², creating jobs for over 800 workers. The plant is equipped with modern, specialized machinery to manufacture helmets for cycling, skiing, hockey, and more. This September, the company will export its first shipment to the international market.

Currently, the project is implementing Phase 2 on a land area of nearly 15.000 m². This phase will include a precision plastic molding workshop and new production lines for motorcycle helmets, with an additional capacity for 800 workers. Phase 2 of the plant is scheduled for completion of construction and installation of machinery in December 2025, and official operations will begin in February 2026. Beyond this, Eon Industry Vietnam is also building a specialized sports protective gear manufacturing plant with an area of 39,000 m², adjacent to the current production site.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Phase 1, Vice Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee Phan Quy Phuong acknowledged the investor’s efforts and success, as well as the support and coordination of local authorities and relevant agencies. The city leaders committed to continuing to create favourable conditions for the project to operate effectively and promote value, while also requesting the investor to concentrate resources on implementing Phase 2 on schedule and in compliance with laws on planning, land, and environment.

“The inauguration of Phase 1 today not only contributes to boosting industrial production and enhancing export capacity but also creates job opportunities and makes a positive contribution to the socio-economic development of Hue City,” said Vice Chairman Phan Quy Phuong.
