Honoring 15 projects of the Provincial Innovative Startup Competition 2024

In 2024, the organizing committee received 92 valid applications, marking the highest number of registered projects ever. The competition this year prioritized selecting startup ideas and projects focusing on the major social - economic fields of the province, including tourism, IT, high-tech agriculture and biotechnology, medicinal plants, and creative industries.

The organizing committee highly appreciated several innovative startup projects based on the platform of technology such as “Mento Multi-channel Sales Management Software”; “Real estate Map Application”, and the project “Technology Solutions for Car Care Services”. Especially, this year saw strong participation of groups of students with many novel ideas, meeting high-quality standards in the fields of pharmacy and medicine, including the projects “Mít ECO-BALANCE”, “INFINITY Male Care”, and “Application for Enhancing Clinical Practice through Virtual Reality”.

Through the judgment, the organizing committee selected 15 winning ideas and projects of the Provincial Innovative Startup Competition in 2024. The winning startup project, which was awarded the first prize, is the project: Research and Creation of Hue Yellow Apricot Blossom Tea - Contribution to the Establishment of Tea Quintessence for Vietnam’s Culinary Capital done by Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Nhi and Mr. Truong Minh Hieu.

In the framework of the ceremony, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 3 consolation prizes were also awarded to other excellent ideas and projects. In which, two second prizes were awarded to the 2 projects including Mento.com Multi-channel Sales Management Software, and a “Net Zero” Travel Day in Hue. Three third prizes were awarded to the project “HUE COOKING FOOD – Creation to Upgrade Hue Specialties”, “Loving Hue – Hue-flavored packaged thick noodle soup”, and “Mít ECO-BALANCE”.

The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also presented the “Chairman’s Prize” to four projects with great ideas that promote the inherent values of the local area and aim to create positive impacts for the community, funded by the provincial development investment fund. As part of the competition, the organizing committee awarded the “Potential Student - Female Startup Awards” to 2 projects, recognizing their dynamic creativity and the ability to inspire and spread the entrepreneurial spirit within the community.

Over 9 editions, the competition has received 506 registrations, with 123 projects selected to the final round. Notably, 80 of the best ideas and projects were recognized and awarded at the provincial level for their high potential. Some projects have won First Prizes at the regional Central and Highlands Innovative Startup Competition and have been selected among the top projects of the National Startup Project Development Program. Many of these projects, which have continued to grow and thrive since the competition, have expanded nationally and reached global market.

Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Mr. Ho Thang, Director of the Department of Science and Technology stated that in recent years, the Provincial People’s Committee has implemented various solutions, with the Innovative Startup Competition being a key initiative to identify, honor, and support promising startup ideas and projects. Through the competition, potential startup ideas and projects are selected and provided with focused support to refine their business models, enhance their ability to access and absorb technology, and improve the quality of their products.

On the morning of August 1, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh, together with Standing Committee Member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh, conducted an on-site inspection of construction progress at the boarding inter-level schools (primary and secondary level) in the communes of A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4. The inspection was aimed at reviewing overall progress, promptly resolving difficulties, and ensuring readiness for the 2026 - 2027 academic year.
