Approving the construction project of Tam Giang Lagoon overpass worth over 1,000 billion VND

HNN.VN - On July 12, Hue City Project Management Board for Transport Construction Investment announced that the City People’s Committee approved the investment project for building an overpass across Tam Giang Lagoon.

The overpass will connect Phu Vang commune (including Phu Da town, Phu Da commune, and the former Vinh Ha commune) with Phu Vinh commune (including Phu Dien, Vinh Xuan, Vinh An, and the former Vinh Xuan commune), with a total investment of over 1.000 billion VND.

Tam Giang Lagoon overpass project has a total length of over 3 kilometers (including the bridge, access roads, and intersections). It starts at Km0, connecting to the end of Vo Phi Trang Street in Phu Vang Commune, and ends at Km3+053.32, where it intersects with National Highway 49B at Km68+450, belonging to the territory of Phu Vinh Commune.

Of the total, the bridge itself spans over 1.4 kilometers with 35 beam spans and with a width of 15.5 meters. Along the route, there are 2 intersections, including one connecting with the road through Phu Vang Commune and the other at the end of the route, connecting with National Highway 49B and Phu Vinh Commune.

Once completed, the project will contribute to improving the regional transportation network, help reduce traffic congestion, and gradually complete the city’s overall road infrastructure. The project has a total investment of over 1,023 billion VND and it is managed by the Hue City Project Management Board for Transport Construction Investment.

It is expected that the project of Tam Giang Lagoon overpass will set to work in the period of 2026 – 2030.
