Taking place from August 28 to 30, the three-day fair is part of activities marking the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, while also promoting the ‘Vietnamese People Give Priority to Vietnamese Products’ campaign.
At the fair, producers are showcasing a wide range of signature agricultural, forestry and fishery products, OCOP-certified products, rural handicrafts, local specialties, as well as products from businesses and cooperatives.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, a leader of Hue City Farmers’ Union noted that in recent years, the Union at all levels has stepped up communications and encouraged members to expand production. It has also provided guidance and support for farmers to apply science and technology, improve product quality, and develop OCOP- and VietGAP-certified products, organic agriculture, and distinctive local agricultural and rural handicraft products.

The fair this year offers an opportunity for farmers, cooperatives, businesses, and producers to showcase and promote their products, seek business partners, expand their markets, and connect with buyers. It is expected to develop stable distribution channels, enhance product values, and boost farmers’ incomes.
Hue City Farmers’ Union leadership called on its chapters at all levels to continue playing a bridging role and working alongside farmers in production, product promotion, and sales. The Union was also urged to support the connection between farmers and cooperatives, businesses and markets, contributing to the movement encouraging farmers to excel in production and business, develop the agricultural economy and build new-style rural areas.
