38 ideas and projects make it to the semi-final round of the Provincial Innovative Startup Competition

HNN.VN - On September 16, the Organizing Committee of the Provincial Innovative Startup Competition 2024 held the semi-final judging round, following the preliminary screening of submitted applications.

This is the ninth year that the Provincial Innovative Startup Competition has been held in the province. After the launch, the promotion and propaganda for the Competition, the Organizing Committee received 92 valid applications, divided into 4 fields, including: Agriculture, Medicinal Plants, Tourism, Information Technology (IT), and other innovative startup ideas and projects. The number of applications for the Competition this year is the highest ever.

The Organizing Committee has selected 38 startup ideas and projects with development potential to participate in the semi-final round of the Competition. They are innovative ideas and projects with socio-economic impact and significance, which are also feasible and commercially viable when implemented.

The startup projects and ideas participating in this year's Competition have focused on exploiting and leveraging the potential of local ingredients, combined with the application of science and technology to produce food and beverage products. Among them are some startup projects, such as the production of Hong Toan banh canh noodles and vegetable noodles, with the motto “Live clean to be green, eat healthily to be strong”; nem coconut caramel; Hue thuong - Packaged banh canh with Hue flavor; the production of Dafusa Phu Da clean tofu and fermented bean curd; Thanh An organic ginger cubes, elevating Hue ginger for sustainable health; and the production and sale of herbal purple perilla products for treating melasma, freckles, and acne, etc.

Some projects in the agriculture sector are: applying the IMO model's organic microbial composting method for pure soybean cultivation in an organic direction; and creating and converting materials to produce organic straw mushrooms so as to develop the economy, protect the environment, and reduce straw burning in fields, etc. Some projects in information technology sector are also considered new and innovative, such as Dat Viet real estate map app; the Mento.vn multi-channel sales management software; and the LUCA Service app: a technology solution for car care services, etc.

Mr. Ho Thang, Director of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Head of the Organizing Committee, stated that the annual competition aimed to encourage and foster the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among organizations, groups, and individuals within the province, thereby spreading the entrepreneurial spirit in the community. The competition also helps to identify, select, and honor promising innovative startup ideas and projects, contributing to the realization of startup ideas and projects. Additionally, it aims to attract the attention and support of the society and businesses for startup ideas and projects with development potential.

The Organizing Committee of the semi-final round of the Competition will select the potential startup ideas and projects to advance to the final round, which is scheduled to take place in October 2024.
