Experts and doctors perform robot-assisted spinal surgery on a patient at Hue Central Hospital

Running from October 20 to 23, the program features in-depth discussions on the application of robotics and advanced techniques in spinal surgery.

During the presentations, Prof. Dr. Chang Kyu Lee shared his clinical experience in a presentation titled ‘CUVIS-spine in Clinical Practice: Case Sharing’, highlighting the effectiveness of the CUVIS-spine robotic system. Also at this workshop, experts provided an overview of robotic surgery for spinal conditions, the potential applications of the CUVIS system, and unilateral biportal endoscopic (UBE) spine surgery, a modern technique widely used around the world.

Alongside theoretical discussions, the workshop includes practical clinical activities such as patient examinations, consultations, and surgeries. Hue Central Hospital’s medical team will perform up to two surgical procedures per day, with technical support from Curexo and expert guidance from international specialists. These activities will enable doctors to master the robotic system operation, refine their skills in treating complex cases, and select the most appropriate treatment plan for each patient.

The workshop is part of Hue Central Hospital’s strategy to provide medical training, update clinical knowledge, and strengthen international cooperation. Gradually mastering advanced surgical technologies not only reinforces the hospital’s standing but also improves the quality of patient care and treatment.
