| At the conference, PTVN presented key components of the project in Hue |
The conference aimed to strengthen the Vietnam - US partnership, promote cooperative activities for peace, and improve the effectiveness of clearing landmines and unexploded ordnance left over from the war in the city.
At the event, PTVN presented the project’s core activities in Hue. According to its stated targets, the project will help clear approximately 4.5 million square meters of land, address 1,500 emergency tasks, organize 1,500 mine/unexploded ordnance risk-education sessions, and benefit an estimated 38,000 people.
At the conference, delegates also exchanged views and discussed coordination mechanisms among relevant agencies, organizations, and localities, while proposing solutions to enhance the responsibilities of stakeholders and improve the effectiveness of PTVN’s Mine Action Project in Hue in the coming time.
