An exhibition featuring traditional costumes and photographs of scenic destinations from ASEAN countries held in Hue

On August 23rd, Hue City People's Committee announced that it had issued a plan to organise the 2026 ASEAN Cultural and Arts Photo Exhibition in Hue City.

Under the theme ‘Colours of ASEAN Culture’, the exhibition is scheduled to take place from December 11th to 25th, 2026, along Nguyen Dinh Chieu Pedestrian on the southern bank of the Huong River, Thuan Hoa Ward.

Each ASEAN member state will select around 10 photographs for the exhibition, offering the perspectives of artists. The works will highlight distinctive values of each country, its people, history, culture, heritage, architecture, scenic destinations, festivals, beliefs, customs, cultural life, and socio-economic development achievements.

Moreover, the Organizing Committee will also encourage works with artistic value that help showcase national cultural identities and foster understanding, cultural exchange, and cooperation among ASEAN member states.

The exhibition is part of the efforts to effectively implement the Government's action program on promoting and publicizing ASEAN, contributing to greater exchange, understanding, solidarity, and cooperation among communities and artists from ASEAN member states through cultural activities.

The event will also introduce to Vietnamese and international visitors distinctive values of ASEAN countries in terms of nature, people, cultural heritage, arts, architecture, festivals, social life, and development achievements.

The exhibition is expected to further promote the cultural identity of the ASEAN Community, create a space for cultural exchange, meet the public's and visitors' demand for artistic appreciation, and raise public awareness of the role of culture in sustainable development and international integration.
