Mr. Tran Van My, Chairman of Hue Business Association, speaking at the conference

During the first six months of the year, the association focused on professional training, trade promotion, business–government engagement, and member support. It organized a series of training courses, workshops and seminars on artificial intelligence (AI), green finance, business management, taxation and labor law, attracting more than 1,000 participants. The association also supported businesses in participating in domestic and international trade fairs, exhibitions and trade promotion programs. In addition, it conducted surveys to assess business satisfaction with the local investment and business environment, as well as the quality of public administrative services.

The municipal Business Association also continued promoting corporate social responsibility among the local business community. During the period, it presented 400 gift packages to disadvantaged households, maintained its ‘Free Bread’ program, and coordinated the distribution of an additional 600 gift packages to residents in communes and wards across the city.

At the conference, delegates discussed a range of challenges facing businesses, including market instability, workforce shortages, rising input costs, intensifying competition, and increasing demands for digital and green transformation.

For the remainder of the year, strengthening dialogue with local authorities has been identified as one of the association's top priorities. In coordination with the municipal Department of Finance, the association will organize a dialogue between leaders of the municipal People's Committee and the business community. The event will gather feedback on administrative procedures, policy access, the investment climate, and production and business activities to propose practical solutions to existing challenges. The association will also continue organizing Business Café gatherings, CEO Talk sessions, training courses and thematic seminars to enhance members' professional knowledge, management skills and business competitiveness.

On this occasion, the municipal Business Association admitted eight new members, further expanding its network and strengthening connections within the local business community.
