Awarding scholarships to students and prizes to teachers achieving outstanding results in teaching and learning history

The City-level Competition to Select Grade 12 Excellent Students in History for the 2025-2026 academic year recorded encouraging improvements in both participation and performance, with 154 prizes awarded, including 2 first prizes, 38 second prizes, 50 third prizes, and 64 consolation prizes across both the specialized and non-specialized categories. Notably, the city’s performance in the National Excellent Students Competition in History continued to improve, reflecting the effectiveness of its gifted education programs as well as innovations in teaching methods adopted by history teachers.

At the ceremony, the organizing committee awarded prizes to 20 teachers and scholarships to 28 students who achieved the most outstanding results in the competition. The recipients included teachers who directly coached the city’s history team and students with exceptional performances, underscoring the city’s strong record in advanced education.

The scholarships and prizes were funded from the non-project aid ‘Scholarship Support for Students and Teachers with Outstanding Achievements in the 2025-2026 City-level Competition to Select Excellent Students in History’, which was approved by the City People’s Committee under Decision No.2150/QD-UBND dated June 25, 2026.

The funding was provided by Mr. Nguyen Manh Quang and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuc, two overseas Vietnamese living in the United States, to encourage the work of teaching and learning history while fostering patriotism and a love for the homeland among younger generations.
